Here at FIAT of Vancouver, one of our goals is to help drivers stay safe when they're on the road. If you're looking for your next set of winter tires, you have several options to choose, but which one is right for you? Let's find out.

Studdable winter tires have optional metal studs enhance traction. You can use these tires without the studs, and they can be a very good option for getting around in the deep snow. If you add the studs, it's probably going to cause noise, and because these tires can damage to the road surfaces, they should only be worn during the winter.

Studless ice and snow tires are made for harsh winter conditions. These tires are a good alternative to studdable tires. There's also performance winter tires that have less traction that studdable and studless tires but can go higher speeds. Performance tires are ideal if you live in an area with little snow and cold temperatures.
